The atmosphere was welcoming, and the breakfast options were varied and satisfying. I did experience noise from neighboring rooms that made it a bit difficult to settle down at times, and the mattress could have been more comfortable. It’s a good choice for a short stay with decent dining options.

Homely Touches and Friendly Staff
Our stay was delightful, featuring a beautifully clean room and thoughtful touches like fresh milk available for tea. The staff, particularly Jo at breakfast, made our experience memorable with their friendly demeanor and personalized touches. the mattress could use some improvement, as it wasn't as comfortable as hoped.

Walls are a tad thin, making it possible to overhear conversations from neighboring rooms. could use some additional soundproofing. The dining experience was marred by long waits for food, specifically a starter that didn't arrive for over an hour—if I'd been dining elsewhere, I might have left early. There were some discrepancies in the menu, as offerings didn't match what was advertised online, leading to confusion.

The on-site pub had a delightful atmosphere, and the breakfast service was exceptional, featuring gourmet items like fresh bacon and sausages. this place feels super homely and the bathroom was really nice, everything was clean as a whistle! getting fresh milk from the bar for tea was a sweet touch. jo, the breakfast lady, was so thoughtful and even put flowers in our room after we told her about our son. the staff were all brilliant, really made us feel welcome.
only a couple of niggles tho, could hear some noise from the other rooms which made it a lil hard to settle down. also, could've done with a better mattress, it wasn't as comfy as i hoped.

the staff were super friendly and welcoming, breakfast was really good value, and the decor of the rooms is nice. plenty of outside seating n a lovely area for walking dogs, which is a plus! we also enjoyed a relaxed evening meal even tho my steak pie was kinda plain.
but the noise between rooms was really annoying and the pillows could use a serious upgrade.
